The Easiest Breakfast Ever

I don’t typically eat breakfast. Other than a latte or a shot of espresso. And I don’t think that quite counts.

But, I had a single, enormous, Melogold grapfruit in my citrus box… so I fixed it up with a touch of cane sugar and about 5 minutes under the broiler.

What a great way to welcome in spring,

That is such a great way to eat grapefruit. Sometimes I just put it in the oven with brown sugar or turbinado & get it bubbly without the broiler.

Funny, I am just back from brunch in a lovely place in Boston and we had pink grapefruit with brown sugar and rum, under the broil and it was delicious!

Fran – I completely agree. Of course, just sliced right open and digging in with a tiny spoon is good too!

Bea – ooo… rum sounds like a nice addition too!

This is making me salivate. I can taste the sweet and tart right now!

    What a lovely idea.

Matt – yes, it was perfect and definitely drool worthy. Thanks!
