DMBLGiT: Meet the Judges
Does My Blog Look Good in This is a team event. First, it takes all of you readers filtering through your photos to find your favorite and sending me all the info. And, boy, did you do your job well! It’s quite a gallery of photos we’ve built.
Second, it takes a groups of dedicated judges to run through and score each photo on its merits, doing their best to stay impartial and judge on the basis on the photo, and not on friendships or not too much on personal food preferences. For this round, my judges came from near and far. Some are old hats at DMBLGiT, and some are new to the event. All are fine photographers in their own right. Let me make some introductions (in no particular order):

Jules comes to us from the Stone Soup blog, which hails from Sydney, Australia. Jules’s images are amazingly bright and fresh, with an amazing still life quality. If her photos have anything to do with it, I’d guess that her favorite color was white.

Boxcar Kitchen’s Esther absolutely tickles me pink with each of her luscious looking dishes… drool-worthy pies, sticky-sweet doughnuts diguised as muffins, and other heavenly stuff that she whips up in her Paris kitchen.

If you eat out in Seattle, you must have stumbled upon the Robotic Gourmand. Jason’s food reviews are made all the more powerful with great, honest food shots on location, which is always a challenge as most restaurants seem to prefer dim lighting for dinner. Jason somehow makes it look easy.

The Helsinki-based blog, Cloudberry Quark was one of those blogs that somehow I missed until just recently. I am so glad I found it! With gorgeous, light filled photos and fantastically creative recipes, Deinin is truly an inspiration.

You will most certainly recognize our last judge, and her wonderful work. Ilva, of Lucullian Delights seems to have a new little glimpse into her Tuscan life each day, with her blog not only showcasing some of the best food photography but also great scenics. There is so much beauty and romance packed into each elegant shot and fabulous recipe.
When I asked these fine, fine folks to help me out this month, they had no idea what a job they were going to have to do. Over 100 entries, and some very edible, original and aesthetic work. It was tough, but I am thrilled to say that all of the judges did an excellent job. Do me a favor and visit their blogs and thank them for all their hard work!
And, stop back by tomorrow for the results!

thanks for the blurb L. really had fun judging. Actually blue is my fav colour but it just doesn’t work with food the way white does.
