Hi there,
I was wondering what type of espresso machine you have and why you chose it. I'm thinking of getting one and wanted to get your take on it -- your west coast macchiato looks divine. . .
Thanks!

I love your site--especially the design! I stumbled upon it from a link from CookieChick. So much fun stuff to read about! Besides, I already feel as though I'm bonded, reading your comments about "berries of the roads of Georiga"…I, too, am a Southern Girl--from North East Atlanta--now finding myself in the oh-so-cold-North West. :)

This is just a beautiful site. And I have JUST found out that I was already familiar with Still Life with. HOw wonderful to have discovered this site here as well. Because of my cooking I have become madly in love with food photography and want to pursue it seriously. I am just a beginner but very keen.

Just came across your site through a link from the sublime David Lebovitz, and as sometimes happens when I'm trawling the blogosphere I have been gushing "me too" at the computer screen for the last 20 minutes (once that greenish colour had gone from my eyes.) I felt obliged to leave a comment (because you like them)and because you have Ice Cream Ireland on your blogroll. I go to their shop every time I'm in Dingle, and eat my weight in ice-cream. So, love everything about your blog and not to sound threatening in any way but "I'll be back!"

Hi Andrew,

No problem. I'm not acutally using many plug-ins for the UI, but I am using some for behind the scenes:

Akismet for spam. It's quite good.
Angsuman's Copyright for Feeds
WP-ShortStat & BA Stat for stats. I mostly use shortstat, but that's been a new find, so I haven't turned off BA Stats yet.

As for the UI stuff, the recent posts is just some PHP. I have a few variables for each post that point to various sized images, and I just run through the latest 6 posts and pull the variable for the thumbnail.

The cookbook grid is a bit of flash that is generated by StyleFeeder, a really cool service for keeping track of stuff. It spits out a piece of jscript that you can just plop onto your site.

My latest addtion, The Scoop, is actually just the wordpress blogroll put to better use.

And, that's about it!

Hi -

Enjoying all of your sites, thanks. Would you mind sharing which WP plugins you are using? I'm particularly interested in knowing how you do that Recent Posts image grid in your sidebar.

Thanks
